Nutrition Sustainability Project
Innovating to provide far-reaching nutrition and knowledge
The Nutrition Sustainability Project is a self-sustaining system that helps provide daily nutrition for the 200+ children at UEFTE, who live in the school throughout the school year. Because UEFTE is a technical school, the agriculture students help run the farm and greenhouse, which gives them hands-on experience. The accounting students then help run the process of selling these goods commercially in the town. Ultimately, the goal is for the farm to provide all the nutrition the students of the school need, and offer more food options to the town at large, while also generating a modest revenue stream for the school, which enables the system to truly operate in a self-sustainable fashion.
